Stage 1 Tips for making the final project presentation

Project presentations tips 2019

Purpose

Project presentations made by students are scheduled for the last working day of the Practice, 21 June (see the Programme).

The main goal of the presentations is an evaluation of students’ work.

During the Practice, different students work on different projects, therefore, another aim is to give the other participants a better idea of the entire range of research projects performed at the JINR Laboratories.

Timing and format

Most of the participants are organised in teams working on a project. Each team prepares one presentation. Some of the students work individually and thus prepare individual presentations. Please pay your attention to the fact that according to the request of RSA supervisors, each student from RSA must be given an opportunity to speak during the presentation.

Taking into account the total number of participants and the number of projects, each presentation should not last more than 10-30 min, depending on the number of speakers:

  • 10 min for 1 speaker
  • 15 min for 2 speakers
  • 20 min for 3-4 speakers
  • 30 min for 5+ speakers

This includes time for questions from the audience. We kindly ask you to stick to the timing.

The format of presentations should be chosen by the speakers.

UC facilities will be provided to make the presentation.

Contents

The presentation should include:

2) list of project participants and their affiliation
