On 22 November 2017 JINR scientists supported by the JINR University Centre and the JINR Visit Centre had a meeting with students of Tver schools №8 and 51.
The JINR researchers told school students about unique fundamental and applied research of JINR, personal traits a scientist should have and how to land a job in JINR. At the end, JINR researchers showed fascinating interactive popular scientific experiments.
Active participants of discussions and experiments were awarded JINR souvenirs: branded T-shirts, spinners, reflectors, Mendeleev periodic tables, etc.
At the beginning of the next year, lectures on the new mega-science project NICA and synthesis of new super heavy elements of Mendeleev periodic table are planned to be held in Tver. Notably, one of the organizers of this popularizing JINR activity is Alexey Voinov, FLNR employee, who finished school №51 in Tver.
