The Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, an international intergovernmental scientific research organisation established on 26 March 1956, is situated in Dubna, Moscow region. 

JINR is a world renowned scientific centre that is a unique example of successful integration of fundamental theoretical and experimental research with development and application of the cutting-edge technology and education. The rating of the JINR in the world scientific community is very high.

At present, JINR comprises 16 Member States.
