Programmes for physics teachers

Starting from 2009, JINR UC has been organising annual Scientific Schools for Physics Teachers. The programmes are run on the basis of the largest international research centres – Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) and European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN).

The aim of the Programmes is to reduce the distance between School and Fundamental Science, to promote scientific knowledge among general public.

Teacher Programmes are not limited to lectures, they also include visits to experimental facilities of JINR and CERN, lab works, enable communication with scientists and colleagues from different regions.

The Schools offer new opportunities, deepening and expanding knowledge about modern worldview, encouraging new ideas that are implemented as projects at schools.

All the events are in Russian and are intended for secondary-school physics teachers from the Member States.

More than 600 teachers from Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Poland, and Armenia have already participated in the Programmes.

We invite physics teachers to take part in the Schools.
