On 6-8 October 2023, the NAUKA 0+ science festival was held in Moscow. Traditionally, JINR specialists took part in the event. The exhibition stands of the Institute were located at two sites: the Expocentre and the Fundamental Library of Moscow State University.
The JINR stand located in the MSU Library showed the models of the Medical and Technical Complex, Dubna cyclotron DC-280, NICA collider, IBR-2 pulse reactor, and the Baikal-GVD Deep Underwater Neutrino Telescope. At the Expocentre, the specialists of the Institute told visitors about the research in neurobiology, ecology, the development of electronics and magnetic optics for scientific experiments, and also demonstrated chemistry and physics experiments. Students, schoolchildren, and teachers were able to learn about JINR training programmes and opportunities to continue studies and build a career in the field of fundamental and applied research.
The Festival attracted more than 18 million people. Such events are a great opportunity for the general public to learn about the latest scientific discoveries, as well as to inspire the younger generation to choose their future career in the field of science and technology.
