The Third stage of the International Student Practice at JINR for students from Egypt started on 6 November 2024. This time, 18 students from various Egyptian universities are immersing themselves in science under the guidance of 10 researchers from five JINR laboratories: DLNP, FLNR, MLIT, FLNP and VBLHEP.
The guests of Dubna were greeted by the first snow, but it did not stop them from enthusiastically starting the internship programme. At the grand opening, Dmitry Kamanin, Director of the JINR University Centre, gave a welcoming speech. He told the students about the rich history and achievements of the Institute, as well as the importance of international collaboration in the field of science. Mikhail Nozdrin, Supervisor of Engineering Practice at JINR UC, gave a lecture on workplace safety rules at the Institute.
During three weeks, the students will be working on projects in various fields of physics and information technology. The internship programme includes not only scientific work but also an introduction to the activities of JINR laboratories and a trip to Moscow.
