On 10-14 September, 2024, the 4th Science School for Students of the Children’s University of the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology was held at JINR. Throughout the week, the schoolchildren explored the laboratories the Institute, and also had hands-on physics practicums at the JINR University Centre.
The guests visited the interactive exhibition “JINR main facilities” and the Laboratory of High Energy Physics, where they got acquainted with the NICA mega-science project. A visit of friendship to the Kadyshevsky Lyceum and a trip to Moscow also became part of the School programme.
The event ended with a lecture by the UC Director D.V. Kamanin, a discussion of the school results and prospects for students and young scientists at JINR, as well as the presentation of certificates and memorable gifts to the participants.
