Applications for Wave 15 of the INTEREST programme (International Remote Student Training at JINR) will be accepted from 9 to 16 October 2026. The wave will run from 26 October to 4 December 2026, entirely online.
Organised by the JINR University Centre, INTEREST enables students worldwide to work on research projects under the guidance of JINR specialists. Participants explore the Institute’s research, gain practical experience and connect with potential scientific supervisors.
Who can apply
The programme welcomes students worldwide under the age of 30 studying natural sciences, engineering or IT:
• Bachelor’s and Specialist degree students who have completed their second year;
• Pre-Master’s and Master’s students;
• first-year PhD students.
Applicants must have current student status and provide documentary proof. Graduates who are no longer enrolled, and applicants between degree programmes who cannot document their continued education, are not eligible.
How to apply
1. Register at interest.jinr.ru, complete the registration form in English and upload the required documents.
2. Wait for your registration form to be approved by the INTEREST team and check your email for further instructions.
3. Between 9 and 16 October, select Wave 15 and choose one or more relevant projects. Read the project descriptions and skill requirements carefully, complete the motivation field and click APPLY.
We recommend registering in advance. Registration and approval do not constitute a project application. Admission is competitive, and participants may be accepted for only one of their selected projects.
